Current Vacancies

JUNIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER -  £25K - £37K per annum

Full-time role based at Rochester Headquarters

The role

The role will primarily be involved in our Hub product which brings multiple technologies together. You will be working with our senior team members who will nurture your talent.

  • Rako works predominantly with Java and Angular
  • Applicants should have demonstrable skills in software engineering, any existing project will be a bonus
  • Use of modern engineering best practices
  • Be qualified to relevant degree level

 

 

SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER -  £45K - £65K per annum

Full-time role based at Rochester Headquarters

The role

Primarily involved in the front end software development for embedded electronics and related hardware the role also involves maintaining our cloud services and company servers.  Applicants should have demonstrable skills in software engineering and be able to show:

  • Track record of delivering front end applications.
  • Use of modern engineering best practice.
  • Be qualified to relevant degree level (or equivalent commercial experience).

 

As Senior Software Engineer, you’ll need to have good knowledge of the following core skills:

  • Java (JAX-RS, Maven)
  • Angular or similar
  • Linux

The following would be advantageous:

  • Netty
  • Cordova
  • RabbitMQ
  • Embedded electronics

 

 

FIRMWARE ENGINEER

Full-time role based at Rochester Headquarters

The role

Primarily involved in designing and testing embedded solutions for new product designs.

Supporting and updating existing and legacy designs.

Supporting new product introduction.

Identifying opportunities for improvements in product functionality.

Applicants will be able to demonstrate:

  • Familiarity with programming in C and will have proven experience with embedded C programming and microprocessors.
  • Experience with Microchip PICs with MPLAB X and XC8 compilers would be an advantage.
  • A knowledge of the following protocols would be beneficial: CAN, RS232, SPI, Ethernet TCP/IP and USB.
  • A knowledge of electronics, design and manufacturing.

Salary -  Will be commensurate with experience.
