Project Background Brief

A Suffolk cottage exterior with Scandinavian interior makes for a lovely contrast in this award-winning property. The client wanted a calm haven away from the bustle of his London life. This was also an opportunity to come back to his roots, as this was the village he grew up in. Lighting control, multiroom audio, and HVAC needed to be controlled.

Particular Challenges

The main challenge was that the client wanted everything integrated into the keypad; so pressing one button would bring the lights to life and turn on the TV to his favourite channel. Our technical director was able to integrate everything seamlessly, with multiple scene settings so the client wouldn't have to fiddle about with every piece of tech separately.

Special Project Features

The artistic interior was a joy to work in; the client enjoys modern and vintage art and decorates his home freely with some lovely pieces. The high ceilings in the converted loft were also stunning, especially with the brickwork. The client decorated also with LED lighting in the garden, which makes for wonderful pictures.

Rako was chosen for its capabilities in integrating with other control systems with the high standard of communication typical of high-end products, whilst also being affordable. The ease of installation is also a bonus, and the ability to retrofit. Other rooms have now been pre-wired for when the client would like to upgrade further.
